Eliminate Police Brutality
|
|
|
| |
In
Miami Beach, Police brutality was rampant in the late
1980’s. My take on it was simple and effective.
I proposed that every police car on duty have one white
and one African-American or Hispanic cop. It was that
simple. Police teams should always reflect the racial
composition of their communities. And within days of
this law being passed, complaints of police brutality
all but vanished in Miami Beach. The other thing that
has to happen is that the police commissioner and police
officers must live within the cities that they took
an oath to defend.
