Second Avenue Subway
    
   
Today, we have the greatest building technology the world has ever known. Yet, they cannot build the Second Avenue Subway in eighty years. Ninety years ago, people working for the most part with picks and shovels built the subway system. And they built the best subway system in the world in four to six years. I can do he job I propose in one or two years. Today, we have powerful earth-moving equipment that can literally replace thousands of people with primitive tools. So, Why can’t the Second Ave Subway be built?  I will tell you why: because of special interest groups and their lawyers. And lawyers seek only to create chaos, not order.
